How old were your children when they got their first tooth or teeth?

I know each and every child develops differently and at different ages, but I was just wondering when babies typically got their first tooth at. My daughter is nine months old and she still doesn’t have any teeth. She refuses ANY type of baby food but does well at people food. My friends daughter is 3 days older then my daughter and has 7 teeth.

My first had one tooth on his first birthday and would only gum chunky foods no baby foods for him :)
second and third were about 6 mos when they got their first. All of them had all their baby teeth by 2nd birthday.
Just enjoy her gummy smile while you can :)

  2. my son was 4 months but my daughter didnt get her first one til just after 9 months. shes 2 in a couple of weeks and she still doesnt have a full set. dont compare ur daughter to anyone elses child as ur right, they are all different and they all develop at different rates. if she doesnt like baby food then dont give it to her. just offer her some of what u have so long as there is no added salt, sugar etc…. either in the form of finger food or blend it up and feed it to her.

  3. My son got his first the day after he turned 6 months then a week later the next one came in he is still 6 months has his 2 bottom teeth but a friends baby is 8 months with none and another is nine months with the 2 bottom and 2 top coming now!

  4. 8 months my daughter has her two bottom teeth, my friends baby was 3 months and had his two bottom teeth, but get this…some babies are born with teeth!, so ya every baby is different, I have heard of some babies getting them at a year old

  6. my daughter was 12 weeks when 2 bottom ones popped out. At 16 weeks another 2 up the top (fangs!) and another two almost every month after. My son had his first 2 at 17weeks.. but no more since. My neice had her first at 10 months and my nephew was nearly 8 months.

  8. He had one poke through at 2 months. It later went back down and we never seen any teeth again until 9 months. He is currently 18 months and has 10 teeth.

  9. My daughter wasn’t ‘typical’ – she got them pretty late, at 14 months old. But since I’ve been on here I’ve come across a lot of other moms who have experienced the same thing. She got her first two bottom teeth in first.

    My son got his 2 bottom teeth when he was 7 months. He got 4 top teeth when he was 11 months.

    ETA: My best friend’s little girl didn’t get her first tooth until 15 months. When her teeth finally started coming in, they came in. 8 teeth came in, in one month. Poor baby girl.
