Is it okay to eat lots of chocolates then brush teeth right after?
I am a chocolate lover especially Snickers, Teasers, Toblerone.. well, chocolates with nuts.
I have healthy teeth and I regularly have check up with my dentist, but it makes me wonder if it’s okay to eat chocolates then brush teeth right after?
its a good idea.May be you will have good teeth but you can land up as a diabetic.
My parents are dentists, and since i’m a dentists daughter i dont see nothing wrong in eating chocolates and then brush teeth.I even think its a good thing.

it should be okay as long as your mouth is clear of the sugars. don’t forget to brush your tongue as well since it’s like a sponge.

Hello,
lol…, funny how people are tempted to realy read only the second part of the question: " … then brush teeth right after?"
My answer is : it ’s okay to brush teeth right after, but is not okay to eat lots of chocolates ! …why to eat lots of chocolates ?!? think about it… .
Have a nice day, with lots of fruits!

Most of the answers are wrong. If you continue to consume sugary products like chocolate, brushing your teeth after will make no difference. The sugar gets from your stomach to your saliva and a sugar saliva it is pure acid. If you brush your teeth with a good toothpaste, in fifteen minutes your saliva is back to acid again.

Well at my last dentist visit my dentist told me that food can stay in your mouth up to 55 minutes. It’s when sugars and acids are left on your teeth for that long amount of time that does the damage as they slowly corrode your teeth. So I see no problem with immediate brushing after a chocolate binge. Just be careful not to over brush like 10 times a day as it can take the enamel off your teeth which makes them weak and prone to breaking.

unfortunately this is not okay! Teeth can only take 2 sugar attacks a day but it is better if your going to eat lots of chocolate to eat it all at once and not in breaks through out the day. And a sugar attack is anything from a coke to sugery cup of tea and some fruit is bad for your teeth too.

Great… you’re the person who likes to consume phony processed chocolates. Why not try Green & Black’s? Sure… you can all the chocolates you want, but be sure to brush your teeth with Tom’s Care of Maine toothpaste and floss. I suggest you brush 2-3x, depending on how much chocolate you eat. Chocolate is sweet and sticky, unless you like dark chocolate, you don’t need to brush your teeth 2-3x, only 1-2x.
I just love how people like to take other people’s advices, in whatever they dictate if it’s accurate or not. Highly suggestible people are nature’s form of entertainment.
