How do I brush my teeth if I have huge cut in my innerlip?

I had a cut about a inch long in my innerlip that was halfway to heal. Yesterday I accidentally got it reopen and cut it even deeper. Now it’s half way across my lower lip. So it’s very painful to brush my teeth because my innerlip swollen up a lot more plus the cut is longer and deeper.

What should I do? Is there anything I can do beside brushing that will at least clean my teeth some? It’ll take about three to five days for cut to heal enough for me to brush my teeth again.

I would say use mouth wash and flossing for awhile. Or get those cleaning pads with toothpaste on them that are now so popular.
Good Luck.

  1. Use a soft cloth to wipe your teeth off with toothpaste and then rinse. Use a toothbrush though on the teeth not in the area of the cut.

  2. you might try gargling with hydrogen peroxide it will help kill the germs in your mouth and it will heal the cut faster. Until then I would lay off brushing and just gargle. Don’t worry hydrogen peroxide is safe to gargle and has no taste just don’t swallow it.

  3. buy the finger slip ons to clean your lower front teeth until it heals =these are found at the drug store and are mostly used when you are away from home=it’s worth the try and they aren’t expensive
